Services

Take one piece, or all of it.

Some people come to us for a return and nothing else. Others want the whole picture handled year-round. Asking about a return does not sign you up for anything else.

Start with a conversation

Core planning

The foundation. If we work together, this is where it starts.

Comprehensive Financial Planning

Cash flow, accounts, tax exposure, insurance, and what you are aiming at, worked through once and properly, then written down.

Ongoing Planning & Advisory Support

The plan gets revisited when your life changes, not when a calendar reminder fires.

Account & Asset Coordination

A clear view of everything you hold, what each account is exposed to, and the order things should be drawn down in. We coordinate and plan around your accounts. We do not manage them, sell securities, or give investment advice.

Tax and retirement

You cannot settle a retirement decision without settling its tax. Tax preparation runs seasonally, and it is where most of these conversations start.

Tax Planning & Coordination

Multi-year, not April. Which windows are open, what closes when, and what this year’s decision does to the next ten returns.

Retirement & Income Planning

Turning a portfolio into a paycheck, with a plan for healthcare costs and for the year one of you is left on your own.

Roth & Retirement Tax Analysis

Whether a conversion pays, how much to convert, and what it does to your Medicare premium two years out.

Risk and insurance

Reviewed inside the plan. We will tell you when what you already hold is fine, which is often.

Insurance Review & Optimization

We read the policies you already have and tell you what they actually cover, before anyone discusses buying more.

Life, Disability & Long-Term Care Planning

What an extended care event would cost, who absorbs it, and what protects the spouse still living at home.

Protected Income Planning

Building a floor of income that keeps arriving regardless of what the market does, sized to what your essential spending comes to.

Business and legacy

For owners and families whose situation has more than one moving part.

Business Owner Planning

Compensation, distributions, entity structure, and the eventual handover, planned against your personal balance sheet rather than separately from it.

Estate & Legacy Coordination

Where the assets actually go. We audit the beneficiary designations, since a form nobody has touched since 2009 overrides the will.

Education & Family Planning

Funding education without derailing your own retirement. Most families discover that trade-off too late to do much about it.

Framework

The Joseph Method™

Some of this work runs on a named framework built around preparation, margin, and seven pillars that get assessed one at a time and governed together. It is not for everyone, and it is not offered broadly.

Common questions

Do I have to sign up for everything?

No. Tax preparation is a standalone service, and a one-time project with a defined scope and a clear deliverable is too. Asking about a return does not commit you to ongoing planning, and we will tell you which option actually fits rather than defaulting to the largest one.

What happens in a first conversation?

About thirty minutes, with nothing to prepare and nothing to bring. We are working out whether your situation is one we can genuinely help with, and you are working out whether you want us to. If it is not a fit we will say so and point you toward someone better suited.

How often will we actually talk?

That depends on the arrangement. Some clients we speak with twice a year on a set schedule, with email in between answered inside a few business days. Others we speak with most weeks. We will tell you honestly which one your situation needs rather than defaulting to the heaviest option.

What states do you work in?

The firm is based in Michigan and is insurance licensed in Michigan. Insurance products can only be offered where the firm and the individual representative hold an active license and the product is approved.

Find out whether this fits

An introductory conversation is exploratory on both sides. We are trying to work out whether your situation is one we can genuinely help with, and we will tell you plainly if it is not.
