Worth having in front of you before we talk
Things worth having in front of you before we talk. Free, and useful whether or not you ever become a client.
We use these ourselves, during tax season and in first meetings. Working through one before you call means the conversation starts somewhere further along.
Most first meetings get spent hunting for documents: the 1099 from a brokerage account nobody remembers opening, last year’s return, a policy that may or may not still be in force. If yours are already in a folder, we skip all of that.
These are general. They will not tell you what to do about your own situation, and they are not meant to.
Business Tax Deduction Checklist
Every category of expense a small business commonly misses, and the documentation each one needs. Work through it before you hand anything over.
It is the one clients ask for most. Plenty of people use it, file their own return, and never call us. That is fine.

Turned up a question you cannot answer?
If working through one of these turned up a question you cannot answer, that is worth a conversation.
